Takedown notice
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This channel is meant for rights holders who need content taken down quickly. You don't need to draft a formal document: as long as your email includes the elements listed below, we can process it.
What your notice must include
- The affected work or material (title, author, or any reference that allows us to identify it).
- The exact URL on doculuma.com (you can copy it from the document's page).
- Your relationship to the rights: owner, representative or authorised agent.
- Contact details for our response (name and email address at minimum).
- A good-faith statement that the reported use is not authorised.
- Your signature (electronic is fine).
Where to send it
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Takedown request". Alternatively, every document page has a "Report an issue" link that starts the same process.
What happens next
- Acknowledgement: within 48 business hours.
- Resolution and, where warranted, removal of the preview and blocking of access: within 72 hours.
- An email response with the outcome and, where applicable, the actions taken.
Notices we cannot process
We cannot act on notices without a specific URL, or blanket requests ("remove everything by this author"): we need to identify each document individually so that we don't remove legitimately licensed material.
